Early Education in Guatemala: Health, Nutrition, and Learning for the Rural Future
In rural areas of Guatemala, early education is a seed of hope. Our Early Education program is designed for preschool-aged children and focuses on three fundamental pillars: education, health, and nutrition.

What is early childhood education?
Early childhood education refers to learning that occurs in the first years of life (0 to 6 years old). It is a critical stage for children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development to foster language, logical thinking, creativity, and socialization.

Why health and nutrition too?
Child health: We conduct regular medical checkups, vaccinations, and hygiene workshops to prevent common diseases, which is essential for detecting and addressing any difficulties or growth delays in a timely manner.
Nutrition: We provide balanced meals and essential nutritional supplements to prevent malnutrition and enhance learning, as chronic malnutrition affects 1 in 2 children in rural areas of Guatemala.

Program impact
Thanks to this comprehensive approach, children not only learn, but also grow up healthy and strong. This year, the increase in both weight and height of the children in the program demonstrates the significant progress that is being made. For more details, please see this link.
Why support this program?
Investing in early education not only improves the future of every child, but transforms entire communities. Your donation helps ensure that more children have access to health, nutrition, and quality education.
